I’m heading to Louisville, KY today for the Derby City Classic.  I’m playing in all three events again this year.  Bank pool, One-Pocket, and 9-Ball. It looks like this event will continue at the Horseshoe for a couple more years.  Here’s a bit from the local Corydon, Ind. newspaper.

Horseshoe Southern Indiana announced last week that it has entered into a three-year agreement with Jeffersonville-based Diamond Billiards to continue its title sponsorship of the Derby City Classic Billiards and Pool Tournament, which begins Friday and runs through Jan. 30.

Diamond Billiards owns the rights to the Derby City Classic.

“Horseshoe is proud to have been selected for the second consecutive year to host the Horseshoe Derby City Classic Billiards Tournament,” Eileen Moore, general manager of Horseshoe Southern Indiana, said. “This important group generates 3,600 room nights and adds to the everyday excitement of our casino. We are dedicated to the growth of this annual event and look forward to hosting another successful tournament.”
