As you may know, I’m nuts about watching the Snooker World Championship live from Sheffield. It seems like a good idea to try to pick up tips from the worlds best players competing for the largest prize in all of cue sports. The 32 players at the Crucible are fighting for their share of $1,700,000.
That’s right 1.7 Million Dollars. One tournament.
In semi-finals during frame 26 between Selby vs Dott, Mark makes four great shots. He then takes a quick trip to his chair to get a drink of water and wipe down his hands on his towel. This is unusual for snooker players to take a break during a break. This is a great idea. He cleared his head from the four super tough shots he just made. When he came back to the table, he was looking at a simple blue in standard position to drop down to some loose reds. This strategy might just prevent the old “Let Down” shot which is missing an easy one by a lapse in focus after making some amazing shot.
